Ford's racing heritage was showcased at the 30th annual
Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races, presented by Chrysler August
15 - 17, 2003, at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
All the pic's on this page were provided by Darrell Mountjoy. I took liberties with cropping, dimensions and making the upper right photo black and white.
On Track pic's from Bob Norton are on another page. Link bottom of page.

Dan Walters drove Monster for owner Chris Gruys.
Restoration was a long time coming for this famous veteran racer.
Finished just in time to make the field. Link for more

Steve Alcala was the hired gun for Dan Walters.
With Dan behind the wheel of the Monster he needed a driver for his own
entry. This black car is campaigned regularly on the West Coast by
D. W. in VARA and HMSA races. Steve has run this event before in
his Alpine and Tiger.
Big Bear Lake, CA is the home of Tom Sakai. I believe
this was his third Monterey Historic Race and he always represents C.A.T.
and the Tiger community proudly. He was the winner of the race within
the race, leading the other Tigers to the checkered flag.
From Colorado comes Dave McDermott with his Rootes Factory
ride. Dave is the owner and driver of this authentic rallye and race
veteran.
OK so it's not a Tiger. I like Falcon Sprints and
this one is a Ford works Rallye car with a neat pedigree. Jules Balme
is owner driver and he is a Brit who also owns and races a Tiger in England.
