Tigers United XXVII/Tigers at Tahoe, June 19-20, 2003

The Concours was chaired by Doug Babcock and Terry Curry. Tahoe Pradise Park was a nice alpine meadow setting for the Concour. Beside the show and judging there was the presence of...drum roll.. Carroll and George. And a Bar B Q lunch. Mr. Shelby (to me) autographed stuff and was out and about to get his picture taken beside each Sunbeam on the lawn with the proud (me and Bonnie too) owners. George Boskoff was also around and always ready to answer a question, pose or sign his name.

In addition to the side shows a mostly willing team of judges set upon the 3 Tiger classes and the 2 Alpines displayed. (A note here is needed in that Tigers United has become an Alpine fiendly <Friendly I mean.> event with Trophies and classes for Sunbeam Alpines. A shame only two Alpines were registered.) I was teamed with Gary Ott to nit pick a portion of the exteriors in Personalized Class. We got along fine and agreed pretty closely in the scoring.
