Four Tigers joined the Cobra Club to run the Big Track at Willow this past weekend. (May 8-9).

Rick Mueller, Paul Paretti, Tom Sakai, Dan Walters, and John Morton drove Tigers. (Dan and John shared Buck's car.)

Buck & Claudia Trippel & Cindy Paretti (with kids) were there in support.

Rick had a distributor slip some timing and Morton's engine simply quit once. It rested for 20 minutes and then decided to fix itself. It then ran the rest of the event without incident. Finding those gremlins is part of the reason for John to be testing the car before it goes north to the Infineon Wine Country race in a few weeks.

While the winds did blow a steady 15 to 20, it was not strong enough to blow dust or sand. The blue sky with occasional fluffy clouds were beautiful.

Below are some pictures from the track.

thanks for the pics buck,

Interesting to see tom and your car.. you seem to be a bit lower with more negative camber on the front. Also i assume you are still finishing off the front of the car after last seasons bump.. will you be blacking out inside the radiator and putting the grill bar and indicator lights etc back on?

That Morton gets around, the week before we were at the Mitty with him and his old BRE team and off the Willow the next. Looks like a fun time, and tell John to button his driving suit coller button... He will know what it means ;)

More Willow Springs Pics

More Pictures from the Cobra Club Mother's Day weekend a Willow Springs.

The desert wind did blow some but otherwise the weather was a grreat mid 70's and lot's of sun!

Participants Paul and family with the red Tiger for his first open track! Paul did great and got some pointers from Danny McKeever owner of the FastLane driver training school at Willow.

Sunday I took Claudia Tripple out for a few laps during a "reduced speed" Passenger Session.

A few other Tiger owner's / CAT members showed up to see what this "Open Track" thing is all about including Gary Baldwin of Ventura, CA
