Hubs pulled

Saying, I pulled the hubs in record time, would be lame. But when Fed ex delivered the puller, they were on the 49th lap in the Infinity race, when I came back into the house, finished pulling both hubs , Elliot Sadler was just
"passing" Joey Lagono for the win. I was kind of disappointed, they came right off, not even a POP. I used a 3 leg puller with an extra leg.

I was going to make a Dan Walters puller, but that was to much B.S. The first machine shop, was too big, the second shop said he could do it, but wanted a picture, so I emailed him a copy of the TU article. He never called back. The third guy said no problem, BUT it will cost between $150 to $200,for material and labor, you can probably buy one for less. He was right, so I did. Today Ill pull the axles, next week bearings and seals. Then on to the Front End.
I know I probably could have borrowed one, but then there is shipping back and forth, and its somebody else's tool, and what if I broke it?

You posted pics but do you have an actual link to buy the tool? Or at least a name to search Ebay? I tried searching Ebay a couple years ago with no luck.

could be a problem

I took off the brake hub today. There is about .050 free play, and NO shims. The back of the bearing race is flush with the rear end flange. Shouldn't the bearing stick out some so you can adjust free play with shims? does this mean the bearing is pushed to far down the axel? Ill be pulling the axle in a day or so.
