I'm up to rewiring the car using one of Pete's harnesses. Has anyone used a multi-pin harness connector to wire the dash and/or under dash components so that the dash could be wired on a bench top and then just plugged into the rest of the harness?

Sounds like a plan as long as the pins (blades) & wires are of suitable size.

wire

Sunbeam/Chrysler started using connectors like that when they started production of the fastback Alpines and Arrows after they stopped production of the series 5 Alpine and Tigers.
