Am I mistaken, or is this the first time we've been informed that Tigers were built at Ryton-on-Dunsmore?

Certificate

This is the first time I've seen that certificate.

Hopefully it's the last we'll hear of Tigers being built at Ryton.

I'm sure Bob will be modifying future Certs if he hasn't started already.
(Maybe he got his information from the infallible Wiki editors ;-) )

On a different Archive note, the move into the new building at Wroxford has now been completed and the Banbury site is history.

Information about the new location will be coming out shortly.

Also note that the certificate states the make and model as: "Sunbeam Alpine 260 A (known as Tiger MKIA)"

This is incorrect as the factory never formally distinguished between the the mark I or Ia, just I and II.

Also this car was not an "alpine 260" as the VIN is listed as LRXFE not LROFE .. So its a standard US spec export not continental export which are the alpine 260's ..

Then you have incorrect factory location...

That's a lot of errors from a certificate that in theory uses factory records to authenticate the cars delivery/ production spec...

Think they should be contacting people and providing a corrected certificate....
