I'm used to the Nor'east being the last place on the shipping lanes for the universe. We have to source our parts from where ever we can find them. BUT, when I discovered a support spring was missing from a lower radiator hose, it became a project stopper  All the nice parts store people threw up their hands in defeat as their sources came up dry. An unhappy owner waits impatiently . Anyone with better input could be a hero :p

spring

Hi, many of the repro vintage mustang suppliers carry a SS spring for the lower hose, I bought 3 a couple of years ago, at that time they were about $5 each.

Has been mentioned before that the springs used in many lawn sprinklers use the same size spring. They are stainless and last forever. Find a supplier of sprinker parts and you will probably get what you need. My guess is when they replace a bad sprinkler head they just throw the old ones away. Not sure if HD or Lowes carries the spring separately.
