Santa was helped on December 6th by the CHP and CAT. The annual CAT drive to the CHP Toy collection at the Speedzone included 8 Tigers and many othe support vehicles and CAT Members participating. After the meeting at rendevous point, the Tiger Caravan loaded with toys was escorted by the California Highway Patrol with lights flashing through stop signals and over the Freeway to the Speedzone. Speeds varied this year from motorcade to exciting!
The CHP collects the toys for distribution to kids who really get a kick out of Santa showing up in a Highway Patrol Cruiser.
CAT's Holiday Party and Dinner was again at De Lucas Restaurant in Whittier. On December 13th about 40 members friends and family participated in the festive evening. Thanks go to Bill and Maria Graf for making the arangements and doing a great job with the holiday party favors and door prizes.
A very cool evening with threat (but no) of rain caused almost everyone to leave the Sunbeam at home. An exception was the Tiger of past CAT President Steve and Jane Sage of Green Valley, AZ. Jane remarked that the people that drove the farthest were the only ones to show up with a Tiger. Dennis Curley of Brea, CA should be mentioned for trying to drive to the party in the correct vehicle. Unfortunitely Hobbe's clutch cylinder took a holiday too and he had to turn it around. The Grand Prize in the drawing was again that viciously posed Tiger we all love to hate. As you will see in the photos below, Tiger Tales Co-Ed Herb Michels won?
