Annual C.A.T. swap meet and election meeting, Saturday November 7, 9 a.m.

Dear C.A.T. members:

We hope this message finds you well. Certainly, everyone will agree that 2020 is a year to forget. Public health, economic issues and national disasters have changed many priorities. Hobbies and social activities were understandably put on hold due to more important matters. Our club was forced to cancel Tigers United, the Big Bear autocross and even monthly in-person meetings for reasons out of our control. But the very enthusiastic response and numerous registrations for these events made it clear C.A.T. members are eager to get our momentum back.

Our annual election meeting and swap meet is coming up on November 7, at 9 a.m. at Sarris Interiors, 8225 Alondra Blvd. Paramount, CA 90723.
Once again, Chris Sarris has generously provided his business location, which has a roomy parking area. The meeting will be held outdoors, weather permitting, and we ask that attendees wear face coverings and observe social distance for the good of all. We will have extra masks and hand sanitizer.

As required by our bylaws, voting for officers and board members for next year must be in-person at this annual member meeting. After the malaise and disappointments of 2020, there is a lot of desire for fun and active events. And folks have a lot of good ideas. Now’s your chance to make these things happen, but they don’t happen by themselves. Please consider running for one of the offices or volunteering to chair an activity. We will be nominating and voting for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and for three Directors. Nominations can be made in advance by emailing catigerevents@gmail.com

Next year is a golden opportunity to re-energize our club and our enthusiasm for Sunbeams as life gradually returns to normal. Plans are already underway for a milestone SUNI (Sunbeams United International) in Independence Missouri. This is being organized by six U.S. Sunbeam clubs in an unprecedented collaboration. We will try (again) for an autocross event in Southern California. Interesting museums, car shows and other automotive events are starting to come back, providing destinations for monthly member meetings. This is your club, so it’s up to you to make it what you want.

This will be our annual swap meet, so now’s the time to bring in unneeded parts that may be somebody else’s treasure. Setup available after 8 a.m.

Please RSVP to catigerevents@gmail.com so organizers can make arrangements for the meeting.

TAC inspections will be available. If you want to have a car TAC (Tiger Authentication Committee) inspected, please make a request to catigerevents@gmail.com and to buck.trippel@verizon.net.
