Recently, there has been a search for a softer, lighter or easier clutch pedal.

The focus has been the Slave cylinder,

Only because, in the past, the 5/8" Master cylinder was the smallest size available.

Jay Laifman reports Wilwood now makes a 1/2" bore sized Master cylinder!

Part number 260-15088 is a remote reservoir Master cylinder that looks like it should bolt in.

With the change of Slave cylinder sizes from 7/8" to 1" there is a piston area change of 24%.

With the Master cylinder change from 5/8" to 1/2" there is a piston area change of 35%.

So now there is another avenue of change for a geriatric style clutch pedal....IF it works for you.

To take advantage of the different bore sizes, you NEED a clutch that engages near the top

of the pedal travel.

With the lighter effort comes more travel to do the same job.

Thanks for the information. the 260-15088 would also need a remote fill reservoir installed. Wilwood has the compact intergral master cylinder, but, the smallest bore size is 5/8 (.62"). Do you have a part number or source for the 1" slave cylinder? Cliff

There are no known (to me) 1" bore slave cylinders that will bolt into a Tiger.

The process is to bore a Tiger slave to 1" and use a new piston and seal.

The popular 1" slave to use for internal parts is sold by Moss and used on a Triumph GT6.

the part number is 580-760.

BTW, that GT6 part will bolt into a Sunbeam Alpine.

And, at one time, the Alpine slave cylinder rebuild kit came with a new piston.

I have not checked the contents of recent rebuild kits.
