Off for exhaust install

Loaded up the car and dropped it off at the muffler/fabricator guys today. Will pick it tomorrow and hopefully drive it home. 35 miles to the house from Reno and the first real test after the rebuild. They were going to try and get 2 1/4” tube through there but the holes in X frame wouldn’t allow it. What diameter tube do you guys run. I think I’m under 2” they proposed.

I have 2" pipes on my car... they are slightly deformed at the front and back of the pass through sop they don't vibrate against the body. I did slightly larger pipes on a client's Mk2, but I enlarged the pass through holes and installed sleeves so that the chassis legs wouldn't get filled with debris... This area is a huge corrosion point for cars outside of California.
