Has anyone found a better gasket for the stock oil filter adapter?. The ones from Sunbeam Specialties are approximately 1-1/2 OD and 1-1/8 ID. I have found them to be too thin and the material too hard to reliably seal the large hex head fitting to the adapter, especially since the mating surfaces are worn after so many years. .

It's called a dowty seal.
It works great for me.

I get nylon ones from Earl's supply... they work great. hold tight and do not leak... and they're cheap. I don't have a part # but you can simply give them dimension and they'll set you up. I recommend these to everyone I sell the remote oil filter hoses to.
