The Mother's Day Spectacular

The event was sold to capacity and maybe beyond. Three CAT Members enjoyed pushing the limits on their Sunbeams around the "Fastest track in the West". Two point five miles of smooth asphalt with no cross streets and no opposing lanes of traffic. A safe place to "hang it all out" and learn just as much about your car as is possible in two days.

Dan Westland ran fast enough to run in the "blue group" of the the fastest cars on the track and eventually ran a lap at 1:39! Steve and Lori Sorenson sorted out his new vintage racer and your web guy lapped the track in Tiger Blue on Saturday and then put our new daily driver Mustang on the track Sunday.

Ninja Steve

Steve Sorenson of Los Altos used the weekend to get some seat time behind the wheel of his great new MK1 challenge in BP. He built this car last year and looks forward to his first full season of vintage racing.

This is a shot of your webmaster with the hammer down from the apex of turn one. Sunday we put the stock SVT Cobra on the track.
