I am looking to sell a Right hand drive tiger that was delivered to Rhodesia Africa and then imported to Canada in 1970. I bought it from the long time owner who bought it from the owner that brought it to Canada. The car was sitting in his shop on his farm since 1985 and only driven up and down his long farm driveway since then. it had some rust repair in the 80's and the owner spent time installing new and refurbished parts. I am offering this car as it was picked up before i start to do any work to it if someone wants to get a good price and do the work themselves.

Here is a quick list of some of the things i have noticed

Lower grill finisher not installed but i have it
Rear tail lights there is one outside screw 1 inside
Drivers window regulator needs repair
Interior handles not installed but i have them
There was rust repair on the lower front fenders and the Alpine 260 badges were not installed but i have them same with the trunk
Brake booster is missing
Stock air cleaner is missing
I had it running by putting fuel in the carb but the pump needs to be repaired or replaced
The paint is coming off under passenger door
The soft top is not installed

I have a complete new carpet kit
There was rust repair in 1990 and it was painted but the previous owner did no drive it on the road since 1985
Wipers work
Lights work
Horn works
Hard top seems to be in pretty good shape
Doors hood and trunk all need to be adjusted for better fit
I got some boxes of extra parts but have not gone thru all of them yet.

Asking $47,000 CDN which converts to $33,000 US dollars at todays exchange rate

That is the way it came to me. After talking with Graham Vickery he said he has seen correction on vin plates before. The next serial number after this one is a right hand drive as well. I am sure with the long term ownership from 1970 it did not get changed in Canada

It's not an alteration after importation to Canada..... And it's not unusual.... The 6 or 7 Mk2 Tigers held back for George Hartwell were overstamped as well..... they were originally LRX FE cars. All overstamped as HROFE cars... Graham owns the last of these.... 633 LRXFE overstamped HROFE.

The car started out as an LROFE car.. Non North American LHD spec. When it was set for dispatch to Rhodesia the tag was altered to reflect that it was sent to a RHD market as Rhodesia was, at that time, a British colony. The car was obviously built in RHD specification from new.... A pretty rare beast.

Full disclaimer.... I am emigrating to the UK next year as I am a British citizen... and Gord offered the car to me before he put it up on the CAT forum....
