Looking for C9OE-B or C9OE-D complete heads or castings only.
Also need original Tiger Crankshaft Pulley
 
Hoghead makes a nice alloy lower pulley... (Robert Staghan) He sells the water pump pullies on ebay too. Both very nice products and inexpensively priced.

I've got a pair of D00E-C's. They've been worked over a bit back in the 80's before the days of aluminum heads. I'd still run 'em if I had a motor to put under them.

Some nice heads Ken I'm all set but what's all been done besides screw in studs have they been milled to increase compression?
 
Haven't been milled intentionally, just surface cleaned, maybe twice.
  • 1.94/1.60 valves.
  • Bronze valve guides.
  • Porcupine springs, I ran a solid flat tappet Ford Motorsports cam.
  • Larger 7 degree (I think) valve keepers and retainers. A fix for issue of standard keepers starting to sink into retainers.
  • Ported and polished by Bill Stammerjohn in Sacramento in mid-80's.
  • 7/16" rocker studs. Upsized after breaking one of the 3/8" ones.
  • Manley push rod guides.
  • Looks like they still have the head bolt bushings (Ford Motorsports, I think) to keep smaller 289 head bolts centered.
I built and ran these heads on the 289HP in my 66 GT-350 (SFM6S524) in the mid 80's, and freshened them up in the early 90's. Back then I ran the old TRW 2249 pistons with the dome milled down to 1/8" height.
Motor ran pretty darn good, video here when heads were in use. :sneaky:
I took these heads off in 2013 when I installed the original HP heads back on the Shelby, among other original parts, before selling the car. :cry:

Thanks for sharing those photos...I am stuck on getting the C9OE's and I don't want any porting or polishing for my app...and also going to be using smaller valves..

Just a thought but you can get a better set of aluminum heads by the time you go through a set of cast iron heads not to mention the weight savings.I understand if for originality sake you are set on the cast iron heads but that would be the only reason.

No need to mill heads with the trw pistons have the same pistons in a 302 block. If you milled to 1/8 inch you took alot off

Have a set of D00E 302 heads stamped 69 has smaller 1.78 intake valves 58cc heads compared to 60cc on the 351 heads, also have some 66 289 heads
54.5cc same 1.78 intake valves Kevin
