Pic's of the model were forwarded to me I have attached one.

This is a joint venture between Automodello and Sunbeam Tiger Owners Club UK (STOC) to produce a TIGER 50 model celebrating 2014’s 50-years of Tiger.

Limited to 165 @ 165 and I expect they will sell them all. That price includes a hard top. (not shown).

No affiliation with C.A.T. or me. Rick

Some clarification for you guys. The indication of what number of the 165 "limited edition" is marked ONLY on the outside of the packing box. Nowhere on the model or case is it indicated. I bought one of the "limited edition" black tigers and returned it due to this. I chose to get one of the red Tigers and cash in return.

Duke, but it as a toy.. not an investment.. same as the car.. its all for fun.. not cash.

Wait till you see the price.

I put an order for one when the UK guys announced it.. I didn't order one of the black ones as i didn't like the interior colour (should have been a red interior IMHO)

I buy stuff for the enjoyment.. im big on buying.. not so good on selling :D

as they say.. "the one who dies with the most toys wins!"

Hi everyone,

Firstly, an introduction - I'm Peter, and I am the "UK Sunbeam Tiger Owners Club half" of the joint exercise with Automodello to produce the RHD Med Blue Tiger for Tiger 50.

I was interested to see that our little model has made it onto your forum and getting some comments too!

Just to clarify the limited production run question - the model will also carry a plaque which is fixed to the black plinth, showing that it is limited to 165 models. We did consider having individually numbered models (e.g. 1, 2, 3...etc...of 165) but this is more difficult logistically- how do you decide who gets #1 and #165?! Matching up individual cars with individual people gets difficult, especially as we have already accepted international orders from our members across the world.

Rick and I have the same photos, the photographed model hasn't yet met up with its plaque so it's not shown.

Anyway, hope the above is of interest to you, if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Peter

Yes, the Automodello models are 1:43 - so this means the model ends up being approx. 3.5 inches (or 9.5 cm) long.

If the Hot Wheels are the small ones I'm thinking of, I think they are much smaller, about 1:75 scale, same as the old Matchbox ones but I'm no expert really!

Peter, BON stands for (B)ook (O)f K(N)owledge...all kidding aside, it stands for Book Of Norman, which I'm sure you've heard about!

1:43 only slightly larger than O scale model railroads, as in the Lionel 3-rail toy trains, if that helps you visualize the size.

Of course - not the French for good in this instance!
Yes, Book of Norm duly consulted- thanks!
