65 IRS GT350. A legitimate 5S563? See thread

What a terrific project! Thanks for posting. I'm gonna at least order the poster. I've got a lot of fond memories of both tracks at Willow from attending performance driving schools years ago. And I have always loved those early fastback 'stangs.

That's some helluva team that's been assembled to do the IRS GT350.
 
Ted Sutton has been working on that project, as recently as this past week.
Jim Marrietta is one of the key guys in the deal.
And John Morton will be testing it at Willow in a few weeks.

All were on our Q&A panel a few years ago at the TU at the Queen Mary.

Ted was the main wrench on Lew Spencer's Shelby American Tiger. (He also built the first 427 Cobra.)

I saw that video the other day, very interesting, can't wait to see the finished product. I bet they are having a ball doing the car the way it should have been built with no one telling them NO. :)
