'66 CA EBAY Tiger

Seems like I saw this car in the Merced area craigslist 5 months ago but it was listed as a conversion. Couldn't have been this one if this one has a TAC, but it was VERY similar!

Need to See TAC Sticker

Just checked the TAC database (http://sunbeamtiger.org/index.php/tac-menu/tac-menu-2) and it lists the color code as 146. The VIN plate shows 106. This is probably a typo from the TAC inspectors or form data entry, but it would be worth confirming that there is a TAC sticker on the car in the right place.

According to the TAC records, a car with this VIN number was TAC inspected in January 1996.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it, not many purple Sunbeams out in the central valley. If he included a trunk pic I could tell, it was unmistakable, haha.
 
Mmmm.......

I particularly like the palm tree graphics airbrushed onto the hood and trunk....gosh I miss the 80's ;)
 
Nothing like a "center mount traction bar" with four pictures of it. Looks like Dale A modified the lower A arm sway bar slots.

Not a fan of the interior at all.

TAC pic

Guessing that our seller is a lurker or silent member. Either way a posted sticker of 188 is up. A little too modified for my tastes. The valve covers are interesting seems everyone has ones LAT style:D
 
The extra bolts in the valve cover are stud girdles, I am assuming the studs hold down the rockers?

Duke... I think that was an old 'tech tip' from somewhere... welding a 1/4" rod or equivalent along the outer edge to beef up the mount. Another thing I've never gotten around to but my 1 1/8" front bar hasn't tore 'em out... yet! :eek:

+1 on the interior !:( That drab grey reminds me of my dad's old Buick which was a 'sea' of grey vinyl, plastic and carpet :eek:

I DO like a logo on the seats if it's tastefully done, though :cool:

Those were short lived valve covers that Ford Motorsports offered back in the 1990's. They came with the longer rocker studs and acorn nuts. Actually a huge pain in the ass because all of those nuts have to come off, then all the valve cover bolts before you can even get to the rocker arms.

By buddy had them on a 351C powered dirt track car. If the Nascar boys didn't have it, you didn't need it at a local track.
