I'm going to the auctions in January from 12th to 18th and was wondering if there might be someone in the area that has the BON that I could look at and also check on info on my car.
thanks

trying for...15-16

Hi Arild, I'm planning to be down, but making way from Asia... So, I can't get there until after lunch on Thursday, the 15th. Best case... This appears to be the absolutely sketchy time of arrival, as the Harrington and MKII at RM should be on the block relatively shortly after 5pm bidding start. Have not checked on other auctions for Tiger-dom yet. Not only that, I'd need to fork out the bidder fee if I can only make it at 5pm+. I may end up diverting to other auctions, BUT... really want to see these in person and see another car or two at RM...

As it relates to the BON... I have a few ways to answer that.

Yes, I would be able to look up info on your car for you. Yes, I could show the entires to you in AZ. And yet, no, I will not be bringing the (large) book down to AZ. But see the first two answers...

At any rate, would be nice to meet a fellow cat lister if possible.

Derek,
That sounds great I would like to meet and talk to some one that is knowledgable about these cars, I am new to Tigers but have been collecting and restoring Mustangs for years.

I'm trying to find out all and any information, good or bad, that I can on my car
B382002470 LRXFE, PM to my e-mail arild@shaw.ca any info that you can.

Maybe we can hook up for a beer or 2.
Thanks
Arild

Would love to talk Mustangs

We have a few to fix...
68 Convertible, driver, meadowlark/tan, mums
67(?) Coupe, GT, survivor, green/green, in barn, grandpas
68 HCS, apart, painted for 20 years, white/maroon, so of brothers (once I finish the Tiger will be kind of hard to argue that one, when the time comes).

I'm learning too, just happen to be an original owner bequeathee...

And will send PM...

Derek

Yes we could definitely trade knowledge on these cars.
I do everything but the body work on my cars.
I have too many projects but really do enjoy doing the full restorations.
I'll Pm you
Thanks again

Out of date?

The Book is a historical resource but Rootes1 might want to connect with anyone at an auction who could share real time pics, numbers, etc. The Registry is not static.

Cool... booking, but only 15-16. Tigers slim this year

Will post VINs and any other data gleaned, but does not look as big a turnout as last year for Tigers, on quantity anyway.

I see only one car, 1, at Barrett Jackson this year, listed as "very original" ... if you can look past the non-original paint color, wheels, interior, dash panel, and thats after a super quick glance... WA plate. Online looks nicer than the lighter yellow car they sold last year. Things change once seeing in person though...

VIN 9470640

RM:
Harrington Tiger
MKII

Gooding:
Nothing yet, 0...

Russo & Steele:
Same, 0...

Looks like a "hold" year? After the spikes in Monterey... Hoarders...

I do search West coast Craigslist and the only thing BAT is good for IMHO is the pics get scabbed there along with their Wikipedia Jack off of all Marque critique's.

I did and do recall this one quite clearly cuz it's not resale red and the seller was niggled down to 25K per his posting that is in Craigslist bit n bite bin. Some of the older Searchallcraigs.com do have parts of the old listing sometimes.

Yes, I don't like BAT as they are nothing more than a website set up to pick those who may list their cars there or a soap box and a megaphone for their members.

I will be at Barrett-Jackson on the 14th. TBON won't help you much since most of the info on your car from the Jensen Ledgers is withheld since Norm did not know of the car. It mentions that the ledgers have an error in that your car is listed with the same transmission as another Tiger. The ledgers have quite a few errors since they were hand written in real time.
