Congratulations once again to CAT Pres with what must now be the most publicized "driver" Tiger out there...

Well done Mike!

Still can't get used to Grand Sport stripes look...but, that's why they call 'em "personalized".

I also noticed in the Monterey auction results they didn't call out the MkII sales (last month's Automobile magazine) and this article seems to ignore those "data points", as well. Still, I think the values given are more realistic, anyhow.

Getting off the negatives, always good to see the Tiger in print :)

Favorite cruise

Looks like this picture was taken along Palos Verdes Drive West. Off in the distance are Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo home of the Beach Boys Then LAX. I can count over 12 Tigers in a 10 mile radius of the photo. We have had some postcard days lately glad somebody took advantage of it.

Stripes look like the Triumph TR250 stripes.

The stripe, itself, does. But, the angle and location remind me of the Grand Sport stripes on Corvettes...look great on the C6 :)

well looked ok on the FIA 289 cobras, the cars rob walker used to run in the UK and international events.. think the moss driven walker 250 SWB and his lotus F1's.

Maybe its a reverse LAT stripe kit... :p

All mentioned (FIA Cobra and, one of my favorites, the Walker 250SWB) had the stripe farther forward in the wheel arch and continued across the entire hood...whatever, it is a stripe...sports cars have stripes... :)

spread

The article is 2 pages...nicely done with some good pics! I would also guess PV for the location. When I was talking with the author (Michael Jordan) and Mike at the British car show in Ventura, they were looking for a 'British' location...I suggested my best friend's pub- Brennan's in Marina Del Rey. PV is a great place to drive (and shoot pictures). Congrats to Mike on the article!

brennan's

Hi Kirk, the Brennan's idea was a good one, it would have been an appropriate trifecta- British car, British beer and turtle racing.

yes

Bob, I agree with you! I already had the o.k. from my buddy Steve and had contacted Michael Jordan...he said he would get back to me if they decided to use Brennan's, but I guess it was not to be. Love the turtle races!! Kirk

Thank you for referring the author. I saw a name at the top of the clip of the article, and assumed it was the author / photog (without adequate review). Had intentionally not included more copy of the content, but had not gone far enough to credit author and photographer sources.

Pubs and car pics may not pass muster in our continuously PC and litigious country. Wouldn't shock me.
