There is a Tiger on the B-J run list; B9470640 is lot #554, a very personalized, yellow, round corner Mk1 from Washington. No TAC

There is another on their site shown for Scottsdale 2015 but not on the run list. B382002093 looks like a top notch restoration with Panasport looking wheels, again no TAC

I wonder if this is the same yellow Tiger that sold a while back in the Seattle area for what I thought was a steal. I don't remember the exact price. Maybe mid-20's….

If so, it was snatched up by a local dealer of "exotic" and specialty cars with the intention of doing some kind of restoration, and of course flipping it for some serious bucks.

Anyone have better intel than I do?

The yellow Tiger went for $68K Wednesday evening. At B-J I talked to the guy who worked on it. It was bought buy a shop with the intention of flipping it after doing some work to make it more stock than it was in earlier pix - ie black upholstery. Most of the parts were there except the fan shroud, tool kit, spare tie down etc. The steering wheel and wheels were aftermarket and it had a glove box door. The car was originally Carnival Red but the yellow paint was nice. They did not know much about Tigers and the engine bay and trunk were painted black. A repro engine number decal sticker was attached to the scuttle on the other side of the car "because with cast rocker covers he did not know where else to put it"

I'm pretty sure the car was the same one in this BAT listing showing it for sale on Craigslist in Washington state a few months back...

So.. if he paid the guy the full $35k...sold it for $68K minus 8% sellers fee = $62560 ... $27560 diff.
Yep, 'serious bucks' if he didn't spend a ton to 'fix it up'

2 of the B-J pics must be from the original sale as you can still see the yellow piping on the seats... also, on TV the metal soft top doors were painted black but still yellow in the pics...
BTW, I heard that the Washington 'sale' might have been as low as $25K

Just returned from the BJ auction---the Tiger did not look too bad in person. Here is the interior. On a side note--I think BJ is 10% on both ends now per a friend that was buying there.

It was

25,000 on Craigslist that's a lot of bananas. I remember the ad for sure bad pics to boot back then.

I'm almost certain that the yellow Craigslist car was purchased by Park Place LTD, Bellevue, WA, for no more than 25K if that. PP then did some restoration/clean up work, and quickly flipped it for some very nice coinage. There is/was a photo of the car on the PP website.
