Everyone needs to contact bring a trailer and tell them how bad they are for just posting whatever picture they want. Then we need to send an email to England and say quit sending pages out for a small donation.

Wonder Why

I think most of us understand the need to limit specific Tiger information so that it is harder for the scammers out there. It also seems like the Rootes Archive Centre Trust would benefit from not putting out the information for 30 or so Tigers when they send an entire sheet to one person purchasing that information. If some seller posts a copy of the ledger page containing his car's information, 29 or so other Tiger owners might see it and decide not to purchase the same information from the Trust.

Shelby

Just talking to a Shelby guy his quote . "Shelby guys aren't that ___ to let the information out. "

I don't see how BaT can be 'breaking copyright rules' as I would highly doubt that any copyright has ever been filed on those 'production records' ... and it's not like they have the only copy...

I Do think the seller made an error in judgement to include those pages with the 'posted' documentation as I think the 'heritage' style letter with all the info should have sufficed for the auction
One thing I DO like about BaT auctions is the number of pics that are generally posted... I could do without the running commentary below them though

Hopefully

They will remove the picture and error on the side of caution.
And also hopefully, the practice of sending out full pages will cease and desist. Seems like a really bad way to market something, buy one get 29 free....
Sure they've let several people come over and photocopy the whole Jensen ledgers, those people don't just give it out like Halloween candy.
in a particular note the guy is a 911 Porsche guy and a car dealer who most likely has got this as a one-off and moving on.

Scam Bait

Miller told me there are nearly a dozen "unclaimed" Tigers on that published ledger page.

J.D.

Unclaimed?

I am not sure what Miller means when he says that there are many Tigers "unclaimed". Not every owner has felt the need to share their information with Mr. Miller. That does not mean that they do not claim their Tiger.

Oh Sh1t.. We can just claim them... Ill take 4 please.. Consecutive vins if possible :D

Yes

Michael,

You forgot to note your colour preference.

Great post!

We all need a good laugh in these times.

Thanks.

Wooden Nickel

That's funny , the color preference.
For those of you who have your BoN and remember the wooden nickel story. That was the reason they changed and created the VIN tag for that car. Guess what color that was...
For those of you who don't recall the old saying don't take any wooden nickels it was old saying to not take any fake things.
