I need some help to move forward on my Tiger. It was the victim of a horrible front end collision repair long before I owned it, so I never had the factory correct method of fit and finish to guide me. I had to remove the front valance to repair both front fenders and the valance too. I am ready to re-attach my valance and I want to do it right. I can see enough of the old spot welds, between the lower front fender and the valance, to duplicate the factory welds, but I have seen two different methods of finishing the seam between the valance and the lower front fender. I have some photos that show the seam unfilled and other photos that show the seam filled only at the fender flare/lip. How did the Tigers originally come from the factory? Was there a production change? My Tiger is a very late Mk1, manufactured around June of 1965 if that helps. I attached two photos, one of a very nice Tiger with the flare/lip seam filled and one from a high dollar restoration Tiger with the seam unfilled. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me.
