Who can identify these pieces and where they go?

The carpet is new but second hand and I got no directions or diagram. Also, does the bound edge on the rear shelf sit flush with the end or get tucked down with the piece from under the seat overlapping it?

Hmmm. I have another piece that fits the rear shelf. Could one be Mk1 and the other be Mk1A/Mk2?

That top piece in my pic is not as wide as the rear shelf. It's about 3-4" too short. I simply can't seem to figure where it goes.

Is it possible they have made that piece for the firewall? Maybe the cutout is for around the leading edge of the tunnel at the firewall?

I asked about its origins as it seems a little different in cut/ pile to other kits. .

I was thinking the same thing, but who carpets a firewall? And the top edge has vinyl binding sewn on and it would never be seen.

Like I said, no idea of origin. I bought it pretty cheap and I figured if if was crap, it's only for this summer anyway. Because after driving it this summer, I'm going to dissemble for painting of entire car.

The seller said he thought it was from Victoria British and like 20 years old, although never used. It's actually not that bad. I never bought new Sunbeam carpet before though. It's not the molded loop type that Mustangs use.

carpet

They are all for the rear shelf on a mk1. It may be small but that's what it is for. The mk2 is completely different with one piece that goes all the way across the diff. Hump. It's prob just cut wrong which is pretty common with kits. Like you said it's only for the summer. Originally the carpet was wool with natural jute underlayment sewn to the carpet and then a tar type paper over the floor with jute inserts in the floor ribs. The carpet and some side panels were bound in rexine. I can provide you with plenty of pictures of how this is put in the cat and all the details of the correct style carpet.
