The CAT/CHP Christmas Toy Drive has finally been scheduled.
The Toy Drive will be held on Saturday, December 13th, in conjunction with CHiP’s For Kids and SpeedZone. We will be at SpeedZone, City of Industry, at about noon to deliver toys to the CHP for Christmas delivery to needy kids.
There will be a “tailgate” and Tiger Tour prior to the SpeedZone for those who wish to attend. We will meet up between 10:30 and 11:00 at the Whittier Quad Starbucks for coffee/cocoa, leaving for SpeedZone about 11:00-11:15. The tour is being organized by Jere Teepen and Chris Thoman.
Bring unwrapped, new, toys (est. value @ $10+) for the kids. You’ll receive SpeedZone ride cards for each toy you bring. These are good for all the attractions expect certain video games. There is food/drink available at SpeedZone if you want lunch, and we have a special Tiger/Alpine parking arrangement.
Whittier Quad is located at Whittier Bl. & Painter Av., Whittier. You can enter from Painter Av. at Cullen St. or from Whittier Bl. at Central Av.
SpeedZone is located at 17871 Castleton Rd., City of Industry (East end of Puente Hills Mall located at Azusa Av./Colima Rd.)
