I know the weatherman is not pulling any punches in his forecast for Sunday morning, but I plan to show up at Woodley with a Tiger, regardless. The forecast says that rain is likely after 11AM so we might have our meeting a bit earlier, just in case.

It will be fun to see who, besides Rick, will not let the weather get in his (or her) way.

See you Sunday!

Woodley Show

The Queens English show was officially called on account of rain. Actually it was officially canceled to protect the Park's turf. This happened about 9am.

While we were waiting for the show's official decision, some CAT members set up an EZ-UP in the parking lot and waited, trying to stay as dry as possible. I'm not sure if the distance award would go to Tom Sakai who drove down from Big Bear through snow flurries and ice covered roads or to Rick and Bonnie Mueller who drove up from San Clemente.

When the organizers finally passed the word about the cancellation they awarded one of their trophy's (below) to our black beater Tiger.

We held a short CAT meeting after which we visited until staying warm started to become a challenge. We then folded our tent and scattered, homeward bound, onto the various Southern California freeways.

Along the way, I couldn't help but think of the words to the song "It never rains in California... It pours! Man it pours!" Never truer than today.

P.S. Bob Josten pointed out that nearby Northridge reported 5-1/4" of rain for the day.

I woke up to rain in Valencia and having hard top off and no soft top at all went back to bed. We got over 7 inches Sun. Too bad, its a really nice non snooty car show.

Mike Michels forwarded some pictures taken of the people who splashed their way to the "rain or shine" car show at Woodley Park. The group shot taken just before we folded the tent and made haste for home.

Yes! Bonnie and I made our way to and from San Clemente in TigerBlue with the service dog in training, Tiffi.
