Just got back from a trip to the auto parts store . They had a sign for a free oil filter with a small catch bring in a used one or two and get a free replacement to 30 dollars total. One day only, plus I learned that the auto parts store has been gypping me for years. This free filter program is being done by a city recycling program.

They are supposed to reimburse .40 cents per gallon or store credit. For years they have been pocketing the change. I know it's not a lot but with 6 family cars in the motor pool it adds up. Please don't take this as a let's bash California as I'm bashing the wankers at the auto parts store for their failure. I'm of a mind to go in have them check my buying history and make a "I only come here to the manager." so it's all been dumped here legally and without being reimbursed. I hate changing oil but am particular of who is allowed to strip my drain plugs and like a hot oil change with enough drip time. This is state wide .40 cents per gallon usually only taking 5 gallons at a time
