Went to the local cruise night--last one of the year. I showed up with the Tiger and an Alpine showed too--I have never seen it before. Started to get cool, actually had to put a wind breaker on to stay warm. :)

I tried to get the Alpine owner to talk about the car--he just mumbled something and walked away. He was dressed as a pirate so maybe he was in character.

In 1967 there was a MK II of very similar color belonging to an airman based at Hanscom Field Mass. It would weekend in our NH lakes area with the rest of us young critters. The grapevine had the car stolen and wrecked, but I never confirmed this. The airman returned home to the upper north west. Hope you're still with us, Buck D.
