Ebay bad and good

Recently I have been thinking about a present to my mostly stock Tiger.
Too chicken to remove the super nice leather wheel wrapped wheel I have that came on car.
"The spacing of the finger ribs are more like Alpine 5 wheel and not the wood rim."

Well any way being a deal seeker I watch eBay and even try to work a deal ala carte on cars for sale.

Recently been watching U.K. and have heard some deals are to be had there.
Sniped a deal on a wheel from what seemed to be a good seller. Ebay robot sends out Paypal invoice and I click pay now. Paypal sends me error message saying problem with sellers acct. and in BOLD TYPE SAYS CONTACT YOUR SELLER. I contact seller 3 days later I get a response with grammar and spelling of say a 5th grader explaining "I am having a problem with my Paypal acct, please send your payment to this e mail address. Thinking to myself well any Paypal transaction is protected I reach for the keypad then my good sense kicked in.
I then sent seller a "Hey can you send me a new pic of the item with today's date on it,"
Response, "I don't have a camera which can do this, I am getting out of the parts business please send payment."
I reply I do not think Paypal's buyer protection will cover this transaction if I pay a 3rd. party.
Response, "Well I will send the wheel at my cost insured just pay me when you get it,"
I say to him OK, go for it.
Several days go by no email from seller with any tracking or shipping confirmation.
I start getting the Ebay UK toothy threatening emails, SELLER HAS OPENED A CASE FOR NON PAYMENT PAY YOUR SELLER OR ELSE ..._________ Threats against my Ebay account.

I get on Laptop and go round and round for about 15 minutes in their no customer time killing death spiral and give up.

Stuck away from home I look at Ebay mobile on my smarter than me sometimes Android phone.
Holy easy button, it has a contact customer service tab, I tap it says call this 800 number OR put in your phone number and we will call you back.
3 min later its like phone sex to fix my problem and I resist asking the young gal what she's wearing.
She tells me to hold while they play really awful music then comes back and tells me she read all my messages thru their system and I did everything right and they will go after seller and let me know.
I believe everything, but the let me know part.

The seller had good feedback well over 400 selling steering wheels, but the last one had same 5th grade English miss spellings from buyer neutral showing great product but weird payment terms.

Maybe I will just get a stock wheel from the good SAOCA guy in Colorado and quit being so cheap, but not suspicious when things don't seem right.
