ebay Tiger

Split Personality?

I wonder why the ad calls it an Alpine in some places and a Tiger in others. The ad says it has a TAC certificate (always a good thing to get when buying what the seller reputes to be a Tiger), but there is nothing to confirm that, such as a photo or TAC number. Heck, there is not even a VIN number listed. I would suggest that the successful bidder inspect the car and the TAC certificate before paying anything for the car. Then the seller does not list the location of the vehicle. He or she does have good positive feedback.

I suspect this is a totally bogus ad, with the pictures stolen from someone else's ad in the past. I have never seen an ebay ad where it does not list a city or state, simply USA. I wouldn't be surprised if the seller says the car is in a container in Asia somewhere and he wants a hefty deposit, never to be seen again...… Price zoomed up to over $3000 now..... I'd research eBay's buyer protection plan before putting a bid in on this one....

I wonder if eBay protection plan has actually paid out on a big item like this. Considering the too big to care attitude and the lack of self policing their own listings for simple things like sellers actually putting in the required VIN number. But as an agent, I once told a adjuster one time there's no exclusion for lack of common sense or we'd be out of business. I'd guess they are self insured or play the big company game of refusing to pay and finding a way to wiggle out when a claim is presented.

Brianelectric here sends me ones he finds and some get me excited but it's a fleeting moment and wishful thinking almost always.

Nice that this one's been removed. So eBay is doing something right , including keeping some cars listed for more than 90 days after listing ended as was their practice for many years.
