I've seen that it's a large acreage area for off roaders. Do they run a competitive series similar to Bonneville? There is a Tiger from Ohio that has competed in the measured mile circuit. He has told us that he has to back off at the half way mark because his class restricts him not passing the 160 mph mark.Stumbled across this on the internet. L&R engineering MKII Tiger at El Mirage in '71. Went something like 128 mph. The class record was around 165 mph. Probably stock- at least the gearing- interesting hood/scoop.

It was the Autumn of 1968. Just once, when the Ole#78 was set up for speed , did we attempt a full out measured mile. Some co-operation with the Maine State Police on the flat stretch south of Bangor at 2 AM (No traffic). VASCAR calcs one direction only read 168.3 MPH. Car actually laid down in the nose and the rag top started to leave. Very happy to never do that again.I've seen that it's a large acreage area for off roaders.
