I'm reassembling my 260 after a long hiatus and don't know what bolt sizes are needed for what parts. Is there a list somewhere of proper engine reassembly bolt sizes and/or a kit with all needed bolts? TIA.

260 engine bolts

AMK fasteners offer various kits for 260 & 289 engines. May be a bit pricey, but if your looking to replace original they are a good source.

Al, thanks for the AMK reference, they actually have a full engine kit. I have a full car stainless steel kit for the car, I just needed something similar for the engine.

ARP

Are you looking for inside , or outside of the motor? ARP makes an accessory kit for 289's, should work. They also make separate kits for crank, rods and heads.
ARP 554-9801 - ARP Engine Bolt Kits
ARP 154-3601 - ARP High Performance Series Cylinder Head Bolt Kits
ARP 154-6402 - ARP High Performance Series Wave-Loc Connecting Rod Bolts
ARP 154-5001 - ARP Main Bolt Kits

Thanks, I should have been more clear. I'm looking for external engine bolts and/or kits. I used ARP rod bolts and head bolts, reusing the stock crank bolts. Looking for oil pan, intake/exhaust manifold, timing cover, water pump etc bolts. Will look at the accessory kit.

Any of the Mustang/Cougar outfits such as Mustangs Unlimited, etc. will have all that stuff . . . .:)

ARP for reference

I'm happy with the all stainless look. But also a bit disappointed in self for swaying from stock. Getting there...

Sticker shock

I dropped one of the ARP bolts while changing a T stat and sure hope they are cheaper for a whole set.

Derek where's my pencil for points off for the snazzy bolts on a stock car :)

Thanks for the photo! Looks great, you're about a month ahead of me, I hope to get the engine back in by the end of the month.
