According to documentation I have seen, my Tiger is supposed to have a black engine. The question is, should it be flat, semi-gloss or hi-gloss black? It is an early MK1a.

Thanks for confirming that.
The engine is still at the machine shop, probably for another couple of weeks.
I got the damper back from the Damper Doctor. And I got the intake and valve covers back from powder coating. I think they turned out really nice.
