Donut Derelicts

Being closer to Fountain Valley, they start before the break of dawn there. From my survey of 1 time there it was a great place to see cars.
Is anyone going up for a stop in there first?

It seems to be about 8 miles further South for me in the South Bay but a easy drop in for all coming from Southern OC .

I'm going to try to make it. Weather predicting a terrible So. Cal. 58 degree
partly cloudy morning and a high of 71

Donuts

"Sorry no interest in Surf City Garage!"

10 Tigers were on hand at both the breakfast and for the tour of the restoration shops and museum full of muscle cars and a couple woodies.

I had some trouble with my camera but got a few pictures. Will work on getting some posted here soon.

Rick

Another Nice Car Collection - Part 1

Those of us who braved the mid-50s temperatures with our Tiger tops down (as well as those wearing their hard tops or soft tops) were treated to another fine drive in SoCal to our meeting at Marie Calendars in Huntington Beach. We had a total of 10 Tigers in attendance.

After the breakfast meeting, we drove the short distance to the Surf City Garage headquarters, where we were given a tour of the owner's car collection. Many of the cars were GTOs - since the first car the owner ever had was a Goat. The collection included some GT350s, some Corvettes, and various other makes and models. Most were American muscle cars of the 60s and 70s. The garage also had lots of old-time gas pumps, porcelain signs, and neon signs as well as other automobilia. And there were a few motorcycles thrown in for good measure.

Later, one of our tour guides talked about detailing your car, going over the many fine Surf City Garage products. (Yes, I have been using their Speed Demon Detailer for a few years!) Goodie bags were handed out to all in attendance.

Yep, it was a fun meeting, thanks to Mike for setting it up, I'm always amazed at how many of these collections are out there.

Thanks Rick and David for taking great pictures.
