I have got rust problems in the cross brace of my frame. Water got in at the exhaust pass through and after 47 years the rust has gotten pretty far along. I am trying to figure out the best way to fix it. I know Martel used to make patch pieces but I don't know if anyone makes these any more. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Martel's were/are the best if you can find any left (no affiliation). We make several versions here in either sleeve size to go around the old rust or factory template for exact replacement. There is a certain experience and skill level required in holding the correct body dimensions while cutting and welding. PM for any more Q's, etc.
