Hi all, my Tiger is soon to be released from the rotisseri it has been suspended from for a year. I want to make 2 frames that will attach to the car's front suspension mounts and the rear shockie mounts. I am sure I have seen or heard of this before. I need this so the replacement front valance can be fitted and after to take the body to a shop for final prep and paint. Does anyone have plans, pictures of such rolling frames?

Here's a picture of the lite aluminum pieces we use often. The rear bolts up thru a couple of leafs while the front mimics the X-member locations. I can lay them out for pics and measurements if you want to try this way.

That would be appreciated.

Juz rollin' around

That would be appreciated.

It's all 2" X 2" aluminum stock. The size of the front's rectangle is 46" X 11" , but should have been 12" to allow for better frame bolt access. The rear bar is 52" c/c and simply bolts up thru the center bolt location on a couple of leafs. The design puts the telescoping in the center of the well hts. The protruding ears on the rear bar are VERY IMPORTANT to keep it from twisting & dropping the car (lesson learned). The 8" wheels I got from a rolling scaffolding supplier. They already have brakes & pivot bearings. The telescoping pipes were simply sized to fit the available wheel posts. These are light duty only with a stripped car. Perfect for body prep & paint.
Enjoy
