Fuel Fill "T" hose connect

The rubber T slides on fuel tank snugly and the replacement fume line (3/8) as well. However, the rubber hose slides on the fuel
Fill neck (chrome) really loosely...

Do y'all put any sealant on there first? Or is this rubber piece OOS?

Just did the same job. Looks nothing wrong with it. No sealant - just get it clamped down on the chrome neck tight but not overtight...

Berndt danke, aber...

I have a feeling that it will slide around even if I really get the fill tube rubber clamps "gutundtight." . The rubber will bunch up and leave openings. Worth a shot.

Mine is just clamped tight--hopefully you don't get the fuel level that high......
