Funbeam Chuck

As I'm thinking about next month's Tiger road trip to the TEAE United, I remembered the days when John Webber with wing man Funbeam Chuck in trail driving their Tigers across the nation to attend Tiger events.

I haven't heard from either in quite some time. I do remember that Chuck sold his Tiger and bought a B-van to continue his odyssey.

Does anybody know how they're doing?

I certainly miss them both.

I seem to remember Chuck bought a Miata after selling the Tiger and then hitting the road driving his motor home. Isn't John still writing for Classic Motorsports? He sold the Tiger. Another that dropped out of the Beam world is Scott Woerth. He got out of the Tiger restoration business and I heard a few years back that he was working at an auto parts.

I recall the buyer of his Midnight Blue car had put it up for sale in like 2013 in the bay area. His ad showed a vanity plate Funbeam as I recall. Pretty awesome name .

John once owned my car for about a year, until he sold it to the previous owner. I exchanged emails with him a few years back trying to get some history on the car.
