Just wondering how the glovebox cubby is attached, seems like I remember small tacks but not sure. Thanks

I attached pictures. Duke is right, screws hold the cubby in place and the vinyl wrap is glued and then tacked.

Ahetzel thanks for the pictures I had the 5 original tacks so I have the wrap on
now looks like just run of the mill flat head screws for the cubby (Use washers if needed) Kevin

He Said / She Said

I'm running into another "correct for car" controversy. I just keep reminding myself that this is "fun" to discuss quirks.

Cubby differences?

The dash in 382000428, an early 'transitional' MKIA, and never removed from Dad's car, I'm certain (if one can ever be 100% certain of anything...cue Harrison Ford movie quote...answer... "A daughter's love").

The dash print differed slightly from both repro types I looked at while at Prestige and the cubby has both screws (smaller than those shown, phillips, no washer) and tabs (2) (similar in size to the black tab shown at bottom of above pic, but mounted on cubby rather than dash, and having slots in tabs to accommodate screws into dash (which may have had washers or a screw with wider flange).

Here's where pics help... But I'm at the office... busy working... So, that'll have to come later.

My guru doesn't appreciate much my 'every car was probably a little different' theory... but kind of a number of "alpine" parts were / are on this Tiger... Starting with the (now un-comfirmable) story about initial delivery with a black plastic steering wheel, bumper with holes on top (car was hit), plastic fluid vessel type (cylinder), and now an 'alpine cubby', which I'm sure was never out of the car before my disassembly.

go ahead and think it...

But wondering if there's any other 'orig' owners with the tabbed cubby?
