Hello All

I am in the process of restoring a hardtop for my Tiger. Right now, I am having all the latches rechromed.

My question deals with the hinge pins that are part of these latches. Does anybody know the exact specs (size) for these pins. Also, any leads on a source is also appreciated.

Thanks

Alpine site

There was a fellow on the Alpine site that was able to pull apart the latch pins and replace them with a stainless steel pin after re chrome on the stamped steel part. There was a reproduction item but not anymore.

Jim,
LiBrandi's in Harrisburg,Pa can do the job. They have done the polishing and plating on all of our cars including top latches and all my hard top parts and have the capability to give you back a finished product ready to install regardless of what is needed. Tiger Tom told me about them years ago and I have used them ever since. They are across the street from the Harrisburg airport. 717-944-9442

Thanks. This thread is a few months old. I already used Ogden Chrome out in Utah. Primarily because I had a gift certificate from last year’s United. They did excellent work. That said, I just recommended Librandis to another member on the TEAE Facebook page, based upon your experience with them.

It looks like I have to disassemble all my latches as well.
Any further into on the pins?

Any tricks to take them apart?
