Help - Spring clip to Screw type headlight trim conversion

Can someone supply pictures of what the screw on the underside of the headlight trim mounts to? After having my headlight trims sporadically pop off their spring clips I decided to convert, purchasing and painting two screw on type trims. I need to fab up a mount for the screws and wanted to know what the factory supplied. Thanks
 
Sorry but I don't understand how that clip works. Can someone take a shot of a factory setup?
 
It clips in the slots in the bottom flange of the metal headlight bucket to line up with the screw hole in the bottom of the headlight rim.......
