Help with a measurement

I need some assistance from the group, please. I have attached three pictures of the drivers side of my Tiger as it sits on the jig. I am interested in the distance between the points as indicated on the blue tape. If I have to "adjust" the body it will be much easier to do before I finish welding the jig attachment points. I don't think the doors that were on the car are original, as one of them was pretty severely butchered by a PO.. The doors are apart and undergoing repairs, (rust repair, new skins, etc.) so I can't really use them for this task. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Of the 3 within spitting distance of my desk, 2 measure 41-7/8", one shows mild distress at 42", but the door fits best. Consider the fact that the new door skins could trail or lead and become a frustration factor. . . . . . .

Help

Randy,

Thanks! I measured 42-1/16 on both sides. The passenger door, without the skin is a tight fit about 2/3 up from the bottom on the rear, and a fairly uniform gap on the front at about 7/16", which seems a bit big. Looks like I'll be doing some trimming before I install the skins.
