We all do the same things, I with a mattress on top of the 64 bug conv.
It took 15 years to get it off. I can finally see the car now. Part of me wants to keep a car I.had since 1977.

I wonder if the owner knew that you could buy lowered springs... loading the car up and waiting for them to compress seems like a rather long winded way to go...

Got a garage stall worse than that. Generations of vermin have claimed the unseen portions. Can't even remember what's on the bottom!? All said, that will make some willing soul a worthwhile project some day.
