The car races in period historical events and then is retired to street use. It'd be nice if the story ended there.
The gap between the race prep in the mid 60's to the street prep until the early 80's, is far lesser a gap than the gap from current (very unique and interesting) racing guise to either period race or period street and the Bill of Sale also makes it a non-option(?) Also creates plenty of IF or WHAT IF...
No longer VIN, JAL and likely no original drivetrain components.... It can be certified a Tiger, we assume... and paperwork of earlier racing may be available to help with provenance, and yet... does the paperwork match the car? Using the sellers own logic of "in the 80's we didn't care about documentation," then why should a buyer care about matching it from the 60's forward? Are you buying the paperwork or the car?
