Holley HP125 Fuel Pump Leaking

My newly installed Holley HP125 is leaking between the chrome top part and the black bottom part when it is running. Anyone else encountered similar problems?

The pump has only been run for about 30 minutes total, 20 of which was to break-in the new cam and lifters a few days ago. Unfortunately, I bought it over 2 years ago in anticipation of the recent, often delayed install. The old buy things when have the money, install when I have the time. Never sent in warranty card, if I can find it.

Thanks in advance for sharing any similar malfunctioning experiences. Might help me in upcoming conversations...

I have been running this pump for about a year now with no leaks. You might try snugging up the two screws on top. I don't see how it can leak between the pump housing and the motor, are you sure you don't have a fitting leaking ?? By the way, this is the quietest pump I have ever come across
and I have used most of them on the Cobra....

Thanks guys for your replies.

After posting my question here I started an internet search and did find a few other forums where people have reported the same problem. I also looked again at the installation instructions and found a section on taking the fuel pump apart for cleaning periodically. I think it is every 6000 miles or so. Anyway, the drawing shows a gasket between where the black bottom part meets the chrome top part, right where mine is leaking.

On one of the other forums a guy with the same problem said he contacted Holley and they sent him a new gasket. I tried all day today to get through to their tech line but always encountered a 40 minute to 1 hour wait message. I will try again tomorrow.

I looked for some sort of service kit with this gasket in it but Holley does not seem to list it. It seems strange they would recommend taking it apart for mperiodic service and not offer new gaskets for the reassembly. Hopefully I can get through in the next day or so. Leaving a request for a call back from these guys has not worked well for me in the past.

Thanks again for the replies.
