The interior door handle opener is prone to having the square drive opening break because it is very thin and made of some kind of pot metal. This also becomes a problem if the door opening mechanism has not been lubricated for a long time and becomes stiff over exerting the handle I made a couple of reinforcements for my handles before they were to the point of junk The small 1 1/8 diameter chrome sprung loaded dome has to be substituted with this new piece. It is made of steel and the #8 set screws have to be turned down to .125 to replace the pin that holds the handle on I guess if you wanted it could be chrome plated I suggest taking the handles off and getting the door cards off so everything can be lubricated , the handles and windows are so smooth now
