Is there supposed to be a finisher to this

I am finishing up putting the car (Mk1a) after getting it back from the paint shop and have a few questions but will post them individually since they are of different subject matter.

2. Is there supposed to be a finisher to the metal lip directly to the left of the 2 clips at the upper middle portion of the picture? it seems that the clips (of which I have 3 on each side) are double sided...that is they snap down over the metal/top and then still have a "U" shape as if something is supposed to slide down from the top. I was thinking a piece similar to the rubber around the hood/engine compartment might work...but was wondering what, if anything is the proper way.

Josh,

If you are reffering to how the soft top attaches with the clips to the drain channel that looks correct. The clips hold the top on the drain so any water that gets in runs down the flap and in to the drain tray that leads tot he rubber hose that discharges it into the wheel well.

The vynil hood bag then goes back over the soft top area, it rests on the sides and is secured by 2 straps and a their fasteners to hold it from sagging.

Yes I'll post some pics when done (hopefully soon). One of the reasons I liked this particular car so much was because of the original red interior.

I can't believe it has been painted already.........where does the time go?
