Is this hardtop salvagable?

I bought an Alpine to help with my Tiger restoration and it came with a rusty hardtop. Take a look at the pictures, is this worth salvaging or should I pull parts off of it and trash it? The lower side rails are pretty bad, all windows need replaced and it's missing the rear window stainless trim.

Answer depends on your skill/inclination.

The tops always rust out in the bottom rails.. Repair panels are available, but can be pricey/quality varies so can be a fiddle to get right. Most tops seem to lose the rear stainless, its not functional so no issue there. Given you got it basically free if you want a top I'd say get it done, and you can tailor fit to your car. Buying a decent top will set you back at least 2k, in fact this one just sold and given recent values looked like a very good buy as they can swallow 3k to sort out if missing clips windows etc.....

If you want it bad enough anything is salvageable....we are building a Mustang right now and we started with a roof, dash and rear window area, everything else is new or fabbed.

hardtop

I stumbled on and an old guy, retired, who can fabricate body panels for about anything. My friend is an Antique Car Club of America guy. The fabricator's charges are reasonable to cheap campared to the local restorations shops, provided you're not in a hurry. Check locally for a similar type person .

move to FS, I already have two hardtops (Parrish and factory), don't need this one. TIA.
