I attended the Meeting Saturday at the Torrance Airport, and I was not driving the only Sunbeam to attend in spite of a dark sky. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the forecast weather and was surprised by how dark the sky got as I drove north. However there was little rain, only mist that dried before "wet" could happen.

Those of us that showed up also got a special surprise when a guy drove up to the hangar next door and invited us in (we asked!) to get a look at his airplane. See photos.

Good attendance all and all. Mike McCluskey has maintained and restored Cobras from the beginning and builds Daytona Coupes from scratch. He has also owned and restored Tigers. While the Officers and Board had a private Meeting all the others got a tour of the shop.

I'd like to mention that Mike McCluskey's first employee joined us for our meeting.

He's Phil Schmidt who is now retired but is better known for founding and running PS Engineering. the wheel company he sold a couple years ago.

Phil figures he made something like ten-thousand sets of wheels over the years. Many Tigers have them and his wheels have been featured in a number of movies including half the "Fast and Furious" series and the "Eleanor" wheels in "Gone in Sixty Seconds".

It was great to see him again!
