My car came with two right hand valve covers. Not sure how that happens, but I have two rights.

Anyone out there have a right hand side for sale? Trade a left for a right?

I know it's a long shot, but I'd rather invest in new chrome for the originals before I buy a complete new set of LAT's.

Are you talking abut the stock chrome ones? I have many sets, may have what you need. Post a pic of what you have, I don't run those so I don't know which is which.
 
Yes, LAT. Somehow, this guy bought two rights? Maybe he purchased for SS and they inadvertently put two rights in and he just didn't know. Sorry no picture of the other side, but the flat plain cast is correct and tucked under the scuttle on the right.
 
LAT valve cover

My friend Laurent , has one LAT valve cover sitting on his shelves since 1977 , when he bought his car , the valve cover was in the trunk. Will get back to you on January 5.
That' s when he will be back home Do not know what side !!!!

That would be sweet! Thanks. Hey, there is a 50% chance it's the right (left) one! :)
Would be a great birthday gift to myself. And if he doesn't care what side sits on his shelf, may a real deal is in the making.
 
Maybe you can have a machine drill a hole and get a small piece of aluminum tubing and have them tig it from the inside so it looks nice and sexy on the outside for the oil fill hole? Easier to make a hole than patch one with the fins :)
